UNIVERSITY OF STIRLING
DEPARTMENT OF FILM, MEDIA & JOURNALISM
TAUGHT POSTGRADUATE PROGRAMMES
TUITION FEE BURSARIES
CLOSING DATE NOW EXTENDED UNTIL 29 JUNE 2009
The Department of Film, Media & Journalism is pleased to be able to offer 12 taught postgraduate tuition fee bursaries for students starting a post-graduate programme in September 2009.
Student Eligibility
In order to be considered you must have already been offered a place on one of our postgraduate programmes (taught or research) by 29 June 2009. If you hold a conditional offer, you are still eligible to apply. Applicants should not already be holding an external funding award for the 2009-10 academic session. Applications will be ranked according to academic merit by a departmental committee. Award holders will be notified in July 2009.
Students applying for entry to a taught postgraduate programme wishing to be considered for a bursary should complete our Departmental Postgraduate Bursary Application Form.
Value of the bursary
The bursaries are worth £1000 for the academic session 2009–10. The Departments hopes that the successful postgraduate Masters students will wish to continue to PhD study within the Department and bursary students will be given every support in applying for external research funding, including the highly competitive AHRC and ESRC studentship schemes.
Submission Deadline
You must submit your application for admission to our postgraduate programme before 29 June 2009. Normally only applications which have been fully processed and students who have been offered admission on a conditional or unconditional basis by 29 June 2009 will be considered for a departmental bursary.
Bursary applications will be considered by a Departmental Committee.
